Animal Control
The goal is to reunite dogs and cats with their owners and protect residents from animals running at large. If you come across a domestic animal (cat/dog) running at large, or if your pet is missing, it is always best to contact Animal Control first.
Pet Licensing
Dogs and cats six months old or older are required to be licensed annually by January 1st at City Hall.
The licensing fees are $3.00. After April 15, an additional fee of $1.00 is added to each license. Please bring proof of current rabies vaccination.
Lost Pet
If you have lost an animal, please visit our Facebook page to view images of current lost pets or contact Animal Control.
Fees
The impoundment/shelter fees for all animals, including animals held for rabies observation, are required at the time of pickup. Payment can be in cash or check. Fees are as follows:
- Pick-up Fee for a License Pet $15.00
- Pick-up Fee for an Unlicensed Pet $25.00
- Overnight Fee for a License Pet $20.00/day (minimum)
- Overnight Fee for an Unlicensed Pet $25.00/day (minimum)
All applicable tickets will be issued at the time of pickup.
