SCHEDULED HYDRANT FLUSHING:
The City of Elk Run Heights asks for the cooperation of all water customers on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, to conduct a water main flushing program. On Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, the water mains will be flushed through the entire city of Elk Run Heights.
The water may be brownish color during and immediately after the flushing. Customers are urged not to plan a washday during the day of October 3rd, 2024. Discolored water is bacterially safe. The discoloration is caused by accumulation of minerals on the inside of the water mains. A periodic flushing cleans the mains and helps avoid discolored water problems during normal operations.
